Main Bearing Selection:
Most SR20s use the single hole main bearing. These blocks require the oil groove to be machined in order to use the 5 hole bearing. GTi-R and VE blocks come with the oil groove from the factory.
Rod Bearing Selection:
Most SR20s use the 17mm wide bearing. Most aftermarket rods need to be machined in order to use the 19mm bearing. GTi-R and some VET engines came factory with the 19mm bearing.
Calico Coating Option:
We have the bearings coated with Calico's CT-1 Dry Film Lubricant Coating. CT-1 is a Dry Film Lubricant coating that helps reduce friction and abrasive wear. It provides intermittent dry lubrication and is not affected by dust or dirt. CT-1 is specifically engineered to withstand the extreme conditions of today's high performance engines. Professional engine builders enjoy a higher level of confidence with increased embeddability, strength and durability.
Dowel Rod Bearings for Aluminum Rods Option:
We will machine the dowel hole in order for the rod bearings to fit aluminum rods. Aluminum rods typically have a dowel on the cap side to restrict the bearing from spinning.
